Platres or Pano Platres is a village in the Troodos mountain range of Limassol. It sits at an altitude of 1,100 meters. It is a popular holiday destination and offers accommodation in quaint hotels. Aside from the nature trails, Platres has one of the highest waterfalls in Cyprus called Caledonia. It is also filled with charming old buildings and has a winery in Kato Platres. The village resembles and amphitheatre, with the lower part of the village having one altitude and the upper park having another, thus separating it into Pano (upper) and Kato (lower).
